PAC LV & PAC HV
PAC LV:
Common Name: Polyanionic Cellulose Low Viscosity
PAC LV is a low viscosity polyanionic cellulose polymer used for fluid loss control in all water base drilling fluids.
PAC LV helps to control fluid loss in Fresh water, Sea water, KCL and Salt mud systems and reduces the potential for deferential sticking. It resists bacterial attach thus eliminating the need for preservatives.
Advantages:
It minimizes mud costs as it is effective at low concentration and widely available
It is not susceptible to bacterial attack.
A resistance against ions and is effective over a wide PH range.
It has an affinity for clay surfaces and will restrict their hydration and dispersion.
Be used in all types of water based mud systems
It causes only minimal increase in viscosity
PAC HV
Common Name: Polyanionic Cellulose High Viscosity
PAC HV is a high molecular weight purified polyanionic cellulose polymer that is an extremely effective filtration control additive, viscosity and filtrate reducer in fresh or salty water.
Advantages:
A high yield Viscosifier.
Resistant to ions and is effective over a wide ph range
An excellent thermal stability.
Easy to mix through hopper
Compatible with most types of regular water-based muds
Stable up to 250° F
Provide excellent filtration control
Improve rheological properties
Environmentally acceptable
Effective in wide range of pH
